Miniature Sculpture with a giant design<\/h6>\n

In this style, as the title reveals, carvings are created at a reduced scale. The majority of my pieces are 1\/5 \u2013 1\/3 of life size. Except for the reduction in scale, the criteria for making these carvings are similar to that of the Life Size Wildfowl Sculpture carvings. Having said this, sometimes carvers craft designs that work much better with the reduced scale. They often have better opportunities to communicate their design ideas especially with concepts requiring a large space. In the \u201890\u2019s, I started the making of a series of miniature pieces featuring the species of North American Grouse. This group of birds featured here is certainly among my favourites.<\/p>\n
