Championship Waterfowl Patterns Volume 4

For thirteen consecutive years Pat Godin competed in the World Class Shootin' Rig category at the Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition. In those years he had six top three placements including a World title in 2001. In this new Volume Four of his popular series Championship Waterfowl Patterns Pat has compiled the patterns for twelve of those thirteen years. Although these designs were originally created for "high end" hunting decoys, they can very easily be modified to accommodate the making of simple gunners or, at the other extreme, very refined decorative decoys.

The species covered in these patterns are the Northern Pintail, Mallard, Black Duck, Wigeon (including Eurasian) Common Goldeneye, Barrow's Goldeneye, Long-tailed Duck, Greater Bluebill, White-winged Scoter, and the Red-breasted Merganser. Included for each of these species are patterns for both the drakes and hens. Other interesting birds in this collection are the Black Duck/Mallard Drake Hybrid and juvenile interpretations of the Mallard and the Red-breasted Merganser.
